Creative Thinking Prompt: Build a Franken Dessert
Named for the monster Frankenstein and all the parts that comprise him, Franken desserts are a combination of different desserts mashed together to create a new dessert.
These mash-ups take two tasty treats and combine their delicious powers into a super dessert!
Brookies
Brookies combine cookies and brownies. Brookies are made from one part batter and one part dough. Bakers pour the batter and place dough side by side for a cool half-moon look or pour the batter right on top of the cookies.
Freakshakes
Freakshakes are mashed monstrous desserts, combining a shake and a sundae. Originally created by Australian restaurant Pâtissez, they are served in a giant mug and topped with a variety of ridiculous toppings.
Creative Thinking Prompt: Create a Franken dessert. Use two dessert flavors that would pair well together. Here are some ideas: Cake within a cake. Cookie within a cake. Pudding within a cookie. Chips within the pudding.
